ILLUSTRATIONS
The art piece “The Sun” and “The Moon“ are inspired by the astrology Tarot cards and in particular the detailed yet cartooned illustrations. I have used pencil for sketching process in the beginning and ink pens for the main contour of the illustration. I used hatching techniques to depict the shadows and depts.

THE BAND
This piece is inspired by the renaissance music era and grotesque art. As considering how, to begin with, the illustration I drew random shapes from which then I turned into faces using my imagination. Using Ink pen and pencil, I feel that this is the best way to show depth and contrast within different objects.

HOUSE
BULGARIAN
BULGARIAN
This is one of the most meaningful artworks to me because shows a piece of my culture and the country where I spend I significant part of my life which is Bulgaria. My artwork depicts a traditional house in perspective placed on a typical old fashioned street and the ground is strewn with gravel as well as bushes coming out of it. I have decided to use pencil and ink as it is one of the best techniques in my opinion to show the true depth of the shadows within the houses and details.

This piece depicts a portrait of the sculpture “David” by Michelangelo. I used him as a reference due to his well refined facial features and perfect structure. The meaning behind it is the blindness of nowadays society and ignorance towards worldwide issues, for which I used the long green strip. I used pencils, pens, ink and acrylic paint.
A graphically illustrated
a realistic tree using pencil
and ink. For this piece I have
focused myself mainly on
depicting the minor details
so, in this way, I think it touches
with reality. I have used scumbling and hatching techniques in terms of getting the right depth of shadows and enough light.

Vector illustrations of Jungkook from (BTS) and Billie Eilish. For
these illustrations, I have used Adobe Illustrator as my software of
choice. These are entirely drawn in my own cartoon style and using
a calligraphic round pressure brush.

CHARACTER DESIGN
ANIMATION
CHARACTER DESIGN
ANIMATION
Inspired by an Illustration from Richard Williams, the animation Snoopy and the early Walt Disney's animations and in particular: Pinocchio and Mickey Mouse Steamboat Wille, I have demonstrated an old styled black and white cartoon animation of my character named "Jeff". In the animation, Jeff is walking along the path, then he turns towards the audience, waving cheerfully. I wanted to set the scene as it is naturally hand drawn including the little imperfection. I have used Adobe Photoshop for software applying the video timeline with10fps. As a first animation, my main aim was to practice and apply some of the animation principles.
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
1
To begin a development of a ny kind
of character or illustration we need
a sketch to guide us throughout the
prosses. My character “Austin” is
inspired by the iconic “Shaggy“ from
Scooby-Doo. I started off with a rough
sketch so I can identify the posture of
my character and then building up
the muscles. The software I decided
to use is Adobe Photoshop.
2
The next step is to start defining the
character’s look. I wanted him to
have a bright and cheerful personality
having a smile on his face is the best
way to show this. He is a teenager, so
I drew a casual outfit and a chilling
posture. For sketching, I have decided
to use a triangular-shaped brush set
on pressure so I can illustrate smooth
lines.

Before stepping into the colouring process, I was not really sure if that will be my final sketch, so I drew a final one. This time I used hard Ink brush, so I do not miss any detail and lowered the opacity of my previous sketch.
For the final step, I began with applying flat base colour on the character, so the next colours have better texture. I continued with applying paint on the clothes following by creating colour depth as well as shadows and highlights. For a final touch, I decided to apply “Colour Balance adjustment layer“ which in this way I cover the black Ink contour and makes the colours more aesthetically pleasing.
